We've put up with enough vandalism from this person. Would anyone else support a ban if he removes a competitor from Computer Repair or vandalizes the page of any of his competitors again? If so, I say we give him a final warning to cut it out. —WilliamLewis

2011-08-02 09:51:50 I think we should at least try to identify why he's screwing with S&S first. I just tried to call him at the Computer Depot, but apparently they don't open until 10:30. If I'm free I'll try again later, or someone else is welcome to.
If he won't cut it out after some over the phone outreach and explanation of norms, a ban may be appropriate. I don't think it's reached that point yet, though. —TomGarberson

I'm with Tom on this, on all points. —CovertProfessor

As am I. Seems straightforward, but direct communication should come first. -jw

He vandalized the Computer Repair page again tonight. I fully support a ban on him. —PeterBoulay

sigh... If he does it again, I'll do a short term cool down ban/lock for those entries. (Of course, the ban discussion can go on, I'm just saying that regardless, I'll do a cool down, unless people object en masse). -jw

I issued the "final warning" per William's comment (unless someone objects)....I think he's made it clear he's doing this for personally nasty reasons and it's simply uncalled for. —PeterBoulay

Totally with everyone here. It's aggressive, and it needs to stop for a while. —Davidlm
I do not disagree with any of this. I think someone should give him a final warning that continued nonsense like this will lead to a ban. If he continues, we ban him. Nobody can really give a final warning, though, if the community doesn't agree that it is in fact a final warning. —WilliamLewis
Unfortunately (and obviously) I didn't have a chance to give him another call today. I don't know if anyone else wants to take a stab at it tomorrow; I'm going to be fairly busy. —tg
