2006-04-10 20:52:46 Why are you manually maintaining your stats homie? You can just put [ [ Stats ( TusharRawat ) ] ] (without the spaces) and it would do it automagically. —ZacMorris

2006-04-12 19:57:29 Good evening to you too. —Tushar
2006-04-12 20:49:28 Thanks man, I greatly appreciate it; I was very timid to put fliers up at the time, but in retrospect it was quite fun and it yielded great results, so I can't wait to do it again for future projects. The only bus stop I put it at was the University Court bus stop, which must have been where you saw it, where for such a high traffic area it surprisingly stayed up for many weeks. —BrianAng
2006-04-12 23:54:19 are you using the stats macro or are you keeping up with your own? if the latter, that's amazing —MichelleAccurso

2006-04-12 00:00:59 Updating them myself, no macro. Of course they are tweaked to my ... preferences. —Tushar
2006-04-13 00:24:37 that's kind of nerdy, but have fun with that... i am also a dork for zac morris has already questioned this... ok i admit, i copy zac's every move —MichelleAccurso

2006-04-21 04:35:35 I agree with you about the relativistic nature of "human rights". —NickSchmalenberger
2006-04-27 23:52:38 Yeah, i've got several medium D-wiki shirts sittin' in this here bag. They're $15 minimum, anything you can afford over that will be appreciated as servers are expensive. —ArlenAbraham
2006-05-14 21:37:08 Do you still want a shirt? —ArlenAbraham

against are stuff like: It could be an eyesore, it might bring in more crime (however the area where it would be placed already has more crime than the average Target has), takes away from the town's unique flavor, and most dangerously has the potential to undercut local stores, thus making it harder for them to stay in business. —JosephBleckman
2006-07-20 19:39:03 Oh, and it might give Wal-mart the legal right to sue to be able to come to Davis too. —JosephBleckman
2006-08-08 19:33:54 You can buy a box of either 300 or 500 ft (I don't remember what) of cat5 cable for around $30 bucks at home depot. Buy a little thing of RJ45 ends, a few bucks (comes with 10), and borrow someones crimper. Me and my roomies did this a few years ago to make hundreds of feet of ethernet cable. It's really easy to make yourself. —EdWins
2006-08-08 19:46:15 I have a few hundred feet of Cat5 lying around that I can cut and crimp for you. —AndrewChen
2006-11-19 00:54:25 I'm good for now, thanks. —TusharRawat
2007-01-22 02:44:41 Any part of my bike huh? okay, I have an internal hub 4 speed from the 60's that came off my moulten. The spindle snapped, any help? =D —StevenDaubert
2007-01-28 11:11:52 It's the lines that make that particular part of green belt noteworthy. There is a wiki entry on what created those lines. =D How late were you up? —StevenDaubert
2007-01-31 20:25:08 The
Brown Act basically states that legislative bodies shouldn't be overly secretive and they should do things like post agendas, minutes, etc. —ArlenAbraham
2007-02-14 21:29:21 Yeah.... lets just say I love free printing, but try not to abuse it toooo much (DHC is ok w/the names if I format them to save paper). Also, I have these little 1 hr breaks between classes, so I go in there and Daviswiki/Facebook/Spanish HW. And then for ex on mondays, and tuesdays I have 2-3 hr breaks, and if i go home..... I'm not coming back (because I bus on the P/Q to Adobe). So, yeah, I am basically a fixture there If I go to all my classes. Maybe I should start paying rent. But so should Ora Sraboyants. And the lists take a lot of work to format them correctly for speaking purposes. —MaxMikalonis
2007-03-13 22:40:38 My fault on the CLIMB entry, they looked like a requirement list, and when I reformatted it to a numbered list, I made a bad assumption. Thanks for the correction. —JabberWokky
2007-03-21 13:02:47 math 108 is basically intro to proof writing. Its a very tough class, but dont be too discouraged because it should have a big curve. Now that it is no longer required for the new math majors, it might be a little easier because CS are now the only ones who have to take it. Some of the stuff you learn is interesting, but a lot of it is kind of boring. It ultimatly depends on how you like proving things. If you liked ecs 20, that might be an indication that you will like this course, but it is harder than ecs 20 and they obviously dont focus on applications to computers. Im kind of rambling now :). By the way your right about Kaveri, its the best place in Sac/davis, but ive had better at a few places in LA, and one place in SF (i dont spend much time in the bay so im sure there is more). —MattHh
The old version was too confusing. Ushering in an era of simplicity is what this day shall be known for. —JosephBleckman
2007-04-01 22:20:10 Dr. Carole Hom told me, but that was a while ago and I don't exactly remember. I think she said she took about 10-ish students a year. I forget how many applications she said they usually received. 20-ish, 30-ish? Not more than 30-ish. I hope that's a little helpful, at least. (Maybe Matt knows?) —NumiaCairaguas
2007-04-04 12:37:43 I hadn't heard about dhost.info, thanks! I've mostly just used Angelfire, Fortunecity and Geocities before now. The first two have deteriorated in the last few years (the ads increased), but Geocities is pretty good for simple sites. Heh. —NumiaCairaguas
2007-04-09 21:59:56 usually they will interview in a group of a few students. They generally take around ten people, i hear they havnt got any applicants who are math or stats majors, which means they may be getting more applications later from these type of students (this could mean that they want to leave some spots open, i dont know). In the interview process they will ask you about your interests, how you like working in groups ect. I would guess they have less than 17 applicants so far, but thats just a guess. Last year the program was in its infancy and few applied so i think more than 65% got in. This year i would say it may be a little lower (since there should be more applicants), but i have no clue. —MattHh
2007-04-19 12:29:37 Yeah. My group interview is May 8th! XD —NumiaCairaguas
2007-05-17 22:36:38 hope your interview went well —MattHh
2007-06-06 12:54:08 You too!! Congratulations! Oh, this is so cool. Did you recognize any of the other names? I didn't. I guess we'll all meet each other at the fall conference. —NumiaCairaguas
