I am Moises Park, a 6th year PhD student in Spanish Literature. My parents are Korean but I grew up in Chile (and Brazil (and Bolivia)). I graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the
University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a Spanish Literature major and a Bio minor. I did my pre-med in Michigan but decided to pursue a PhD in Spanish Literature and Critical Theory at UC Davis. I study contemporary Southern Cone (Chile/Argentina/Uruguay/Peru) literature with an emphasis in Critical Theory and a focus on films and cultural studies. I taught Spanish language and literature (SPA 1,2,3,21,23,24,100,151) at UC Davis for 6 years. I also will work for
HIA as a webmaster and designer.
"shiwalogo" = Chilean colloquial way of saying "what's going on, dude", "what's up, man". Today, nobody says this but me (and maybe another friend).
