Try as hard as possible to give other editors the benefit of the doubt; assume that they are reasonable people when off the wiki, and just need some help learning about the wiki and how it works. Try to be gentle and educational with them.

If that fails, stop feeding the pariah. Only act to prevent them from harming other users, particularly new users who they may give a negative impression of the wiki.
