What if....

Block Voting had been used instead of choice voting in the Winter 2006 senate race. Here is a list of each candidate's votes, counting the top six ranking positions equally because there were six seats open and under the old system each vote would have been equal. (This information was obtained from Alex Park and tabulated by Rob Roy)

2006-03-02 15:49:25   So you got these results from Alex Park, and not from the Davis Wiki? —BrentLaabs

2006-03-02 16:53:27   I actually didn't see that it was on the wiki when I made this page and Alex sent me the excel file. I think these pages should be on their own - that is why I assumed it wasn't on the wiki when i made the page. —RobRoy

2006-03-03 00:35:57   Does this have anything to do with Bizarro World? Maybe you should have a better name, like "Speculation on results from alternative election methods"? —NickSchmalenberger

2006-03-03 00:51:14   Nope, nope, this name is traditional. —BrentLaabs

2006-03-03 10:16:00   i think its funny that the "republican" canidate or dcr annoited canidates are really the only group of people who have benifited from choice voting....but we constantly take a firm NO position on it. Now thats bizarro, eh? —GeorgejAndrews

2006-03-03 13:09:30   Even more bizarro is it was the Greens who pushed for it.... —JamesSchwab

2006-03-03 19:59:07   I know when George is in Davis he endorses choice voting. Its when he corsses the river into Sac that he doesn't take such a strong stand. —RobRoy
