A credit union, which for most purposes is just like a bank, with the exception that you must work, reside, or worship within Yolo County to join. Credit unions are not-for-profit cooperatives and reinvest their profits into the local community, unlike larger banks. Yolo Federal Credit Union is a member of CO-OP Financial Services, which includes a shared network of ATM machines and branch locations from numerous financial institutions. Members can transact business at CO-OP locations without incurring fees.
