"Don't think you're the sorority type? No worries, because we are not your typical sorority."

Lambda Delta Lambda is a fun-loving, queer friendly, sisterhood with open minds and regard ourselves as not being the typical sorority. We are open to females, males, queer, gay, lesbians, bisexuals, and all genders and sexualities in between. While we are a greek organization our message to the campus and community is one of acceptance and hope for equality.

Our active students members have majors ranging from psychology to wildlife conservation. We do have a number of alumni members who continue to help the sorority grow. We all are or were UC Davis students. We have members in Vet school, med school, and one who just completed her masters.

We refuse to be constrained (as a group) by such terms as butch, femme, straight, lesbian, dyke, queer, feminist, bi, tranny, homo, carpetmuncher, bulldagger, queen, boi, etc. Although we can say that when thrown together, they tend to make a fabulously tasty stew.

As you can see from our events calender we are mainly a social group. We enjoy sleepovers, parties, camping, and any queer friendly events. We are also involved in various volunteer projects.

Activities

The super bad-ass grrlies of LDL are recruiting for next quarter. So, if you are interested, or conversely, wondering who the hell this group is, then come to one of our info sessions. We don't bite. Besides, there is usually free food involved!

Among our activities are such fun events as Relay for Life, hiking in the mountains, shopping for hats and novelty mustaches in San Francisco, lazer tag, rock climbing, craft days, dancing in the city, etc.

So, now that you have been overwhelmingly convinced by our subtle ploys, you will be biting you fingernails in anticipation of the events we have planned for this quarter.

2009 Fall Rush

Don't worry if you can't make it to all of the events. Just come to the ones you can.

Wed Oct. 7	6pm - 8pm	Info Night at the LGBTRC. Come meet us and find out what we're all about! We're having "rolling office hours" so come by whenever you have time.
Thr Oct. 8	6pm - 8pm	Potluck Picnic at the Arboretum. Join us for some munchies, bring some to share! We will meet at the LGBTRC at starting 5:45 and head over around 6:15/6:20. If you will be late, be sure to get one of our numbers at info night, or email us for a phone number!
Fri Oct. 9	6pm - 9pm	Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze. What better way to get to know each other than by getting lost in the corn maze? Rides will be provided. Meet up at the LGBTRC 5:45 - 6:15 then we're heading out! Get/email for numbers if you will be late.
Mon Oct. 12	7pm - 9pm	Games and Goodies. Bring out the board games and card games and whatever other games ya'got! Rides can be provided if needed. Location TBA through email.
Tue Oct. 13	7pm - 8:30pm	Baskin-Robbins Dollar Scoop Night. Come join us for an icy treat (for only a dollar!) at the down town Baskin-Robbins on E street.
Wed Oct. 14	8:30pm - 11:30pm	Bumpin' at Bojangles. Dance the night away with us at Club 21 in Sac! (Don't worry, it's 18+ night!) Rides will be provided. We will meet at 8:30 and leave around 9-9:30. Meeting location TBA through email.
Sat Oct. 17	8pm - 11:00pm	Rocky Horror Night. Let's do the time warp together! This party is invite only, so make sure to come out and get your invite! =P Rides can be provided if needed.
