Bob loves to teach and has been doing so since he was in high school. He holds an MA in Music and Music Education from Columbia University. Having been a college professor by profession, he is a certified music teacher and has also had extensive performance experience. He is a member of the Davis Music Teacher's Association.
Bob includes healthy aspects for musicians including ear training and theory. With beginners, he emphasizes fun songs and incorporates reading into his lessons. He considers himself a holistic instructor, gradually including the science of music, history, and math in his lessons, though always keeping things simple and easy, and adjusting lessons' depth to make them age-appropriate.
