This page is for discussing the contents of Davis Cemetery.
The office manager has recently removed the original main photo and replaced it with a brighter shot that shows more of the cemetery. Personally I prefer the original because of the juxtaposition of light and shadow, but that is obviously just my opinion. As a general practice, the wiki community has frowned upon the removal of contributions in the past, but many such changes are increasingly slipping through either unnoticed or unchallenged. I will leave it up to the rest of the community to decide if the original photo is worth keeping and also whether or not the old practice of photo preservation is desirable or even practical anymore with less editors zealously "moderating" the site's changes.
- I prefer the original for aesthetic reasons. I feel it captures the beauty of the cemetery. I had moved the bright photo to the bottom gallery (where it is now causing an error). I am, of course, happy to go with what everybody else wants, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked the now re-removed original. It was a pretty photo. -jw
- I don't see any point in removing photos. Even when a page gets cluttered like Urban Art, I still think it is worth keeping the old photos. Also, I liked the old photo better. - Mikey
- I going to go against the grain here and put in my vote for the new photo. I think its prettier. — JT
