Kevin Nosek is an assistant coach for the UC Davis men's basketball team. He grew up in Davis and was a three-sport athlete at Davis Senior High School. Nosek was an All-American water polo player and helped lead the basketball team to its only section championship in school history his senior year. Nosek was named the DHS Athlete of the Year and graduated from Davis High School in 1995.

Nosek attended UCD and played college basketball for the Aggies. He helped lead the team to a 31-2 record and the Division II national championship in 1998. The team averaged 24 wins in his three seasons. Nosek graduated from UCD with a degree in organizational studies in 1999.

Nosek spent the next four years as an assistat basketball coach for the Aggies. He was hired as head coach for Menlo College following the 2002-2003 season. In his three years at Menlo, he turned the team around from winning only four games in 2004, to winning 17 games in 2006. On June 7, 2006, Nosek announced that he would be returning to his alma mater as an assistant coach.
