Soroptimist International of Davis is an active group of business and professional women who donate their time and resources to improve our community through service to others. We do hands-on projects throughout the community.

Soroptimist International is the world's largest women's service organization committed to improving the lives of women and children throughout the world. We are a global voice for women.

SI Davis supports local nonprofits through at least two major fundraisers each year. It operates the beer and wine booth on Wednesday evenings at the Davis Farmers Market. This money funds the grant awards program, distributed to worthy community organizations that help improve the status of women and girls. Its other fundraiser, an annual Texas Hold 'em poker tournament, is at Odd Fellows Hall in early March and generates funds to emancipated foster youths and others nonprofit groups.

To attend a luncheon as a free guest, or to purchase tickets to the poker tournament, contact Lea Rosenberg at or 756-0697.

Soroptimist International of Davis is one of two Soroptimist clubs in town; the other is Soroptimist International of Greater Davis. The latter club formed as a response to those who couldn't meet during lunchtimes; they meet evenings.
