Graduate Student Orientation (GSO) is an event held annually by the UC Davis Graduate Studies. Orientation is a week long event designed to introduce new graduate students to life at UC Davis. The orientation includes introductions to many different facets of campus life, such as registration, major milestones in your graduate student career, student insurance, teaching classes, working effectively with your major professor, and work/life balance. Many events involving food, biking, and socializing with other graduate students are also included in orientation, thus making this excellent place to begin your social life at your new school.

Two other orientations are hosted by Graduate Studies: International Graduate Student Orientation (IGSO) and Graduate Diversity Orientation Program.
